APPLICATIONS
Here is where you can apply to play a character in AKUDAMAX. Apps will open on the same day as reserves, August 7th 2021 12 PM EST, and will close 24 hours before the start of the game, August 13th 2021 12 PM EST. A reserve is required to play in the game - you can submit yours here! Once secured, please submit the following information for our review.

History: A wiki link is fine if you prefer, but you may also supplement if you find the wiki is insufficient or disagreeable. For OCs, a basic synopsis will need to be written here - feel free to use bullet points for ease of reading and distillation of importance. For canon characters, if there are any significant headcanons (such as the invention of a major life event) you plan to incorporate, we request they be included here so we can determine if they are appropriate.
Personality: Please give us at least 5 bullet points with a couple sentences each describing the character’s personality traits. This can include both core traits and things like their interests/hobbies, ideas they value, moral leanings, strengths/weaknesses, etc.
Criminal Status: AKUDAMAX is generally a gimmick game for characters who have committed crimes and/or been wanted or found guilty (see the FAQ for more details on appability.) Please go into detail on how your character could best be construed as a criminal!
Akudama Title: Akudama are all given a one-word title that sums up their crime, their skills, or their identifying traits, such as ‘Brawler’ or ‘Doctor.’ This is the title they will be mostly known publicly by in the game. What would your character be?
Physiology: This is where you can provide details to us about your character’s state of being if necessary. Are they a normal human or do they have Unique Qualities, such as being a robot / vampire / alien / immortal? Particularly, we would like you to inform us whether they require special conditions to stay alive / be killed, so we can find ways to include them in the game or find a workaround if necessary.
Powers/Abilities: Describe the character’s powers and abilities in a detailed list (links to descriptions may also be acceptable, as long as you clarify which abilities are present at your canon point.) This applies also to non-human characteristics such as animal senses, fangs or wings. Generally our goal is to leave characters as they are, however if you are apping a character (such as Ajimu Najimi from Medaka Box) who has hundreds of powers, we will ask you to limit it to about 5-10, just so that characters may reasonably keep track of all of them for murder cases. If there are abilities that need to be nerfed to maintain the game’s integrity, that can be discussed with mods upon review or in advance of your app submission. If your character has nothing superhuman to speak of, please specify and go into what your character can do within their human limits.
Items/Companions: Describe in list form the items/companions your character will have with them and details of their qualities/any powers to speak of. (Links to descriptions may also be acceptable, as long as you clarify which items are present at your canon point.) In a similar attempt to keep things manageable, items will be limited at first to the items the character has with them at their canon point, or 5-10 if there is a situation like they’re using a ‘bag of holding’ to hold tons more than a character could usually carry.
However, feel free to list more items you’d like to be made available to the game at large on the ‘Black Market’, which can include things your character would have at different canon points, or items that are from their canon but not connected to your character. They should ideally be things that would fit the theme of a black market, though - not a box of pocky or the family photo album.
Murder Motives: The player characters of AKUDAMAX will be given temptation to commit murders. What are the best ways to compel your character to kill?
Killer/Victim Consideration: Let us know if you have a preference to play as killer or victim if you are selected to be in a case.
First Case Consideration/Prize: Let us know if you are interested in having your character rolled for the first case. If yes, a special reward may be given to these characters in the graveyard - let us know if you want to opt in to that as well (an opt-out would mainly be for if you do not intend to play in the graveyard.)
Gift Consideration: Please tell us if you would like your character to receive a “Gift” - special items that may grant them an ability or otherwise be of some use. Keep in mind that these will only be given to characters that have no powers (which may also include powerful items.)
RP Sample: Top levels and threads on the TDM are encouraged for this, however if you have a past thread you may use that as well. There are no length requirements as long as you get your RP style across. If you do not have a thread, you may write an example directly into the app such as a sample top-level or prose monologue.
